FORMER HUNTINGDONSHIRE REGIONAL COLLEGE ST NEOTS CAMPUS SOLD

St Neots based Chartered Surveyors Barford + Co report the sale of the Huntingdonshire Regional College’s former St Neots Campus at Almond Road, St Neots to Cambridgeshire County Council.

The 2.5 acre site was originally developed as St Neots Technical College in the 1950s.  The original Tech building remains and is to be the new home of the Trinity School, Hartford.  Trinity School provides education for Key Stage 3 and 4 pupils with Statements of Special Needs for Social, Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties.  The acquisition will enable Trinity School to significantly increase the number of pupils it can assist in the area; their ethos being ‘Belong, Grow, Achieve’.  The school also has other sites in Wisbech and Foxton.

Sheila Smyth, Director at Barford + Co, dealt with the sale and commented ‘It is fantastic to see this local facility continue in educational use benefiting the community of St Neots and its surrounding areas.’

Mrs Smyth concluded ‘We are currently marketing a number of commercial and residential sites elsewhere in Cambridgeshire and Bedfordshire.  Demand has improved significantly over the last two years.  We would therefore welcome speaking to anyone with either commercial or residential land, particularly building plots, with which they would like our assistance’.
