Flurry of Lettings Signals Improvement in Demand for Offices

The completion of a number of commercial property transactions by Barford + Co suggests that the improving national economic conditions are starting to impact positively on the local market.

Barford + Co has concluded several office lettings in the past couple of weeks in St Neots and St Ives. These include:-

-  offices of 2,500 sq ft at Davey House, Eaton Ford, St Neots leased to The Open Door Church following the grant of planning permission for change of use;

-  an office suite in St Neots town centre, which has been let in Fishers Yard, just off the Market Square to Baby Be Smart whose business involves mother and child products;

-  a third letting in the town centre involving first and second floor offices amounting to 1,500 sq ft at 3-5 Market Square, where on behalf of the Nationwide, Barford + Co has concluded a lease to property management contractors Clean Thinking Ltd who have relocated from Bishop Stortford;

-  1 Cabot House, Compass Point Business Park, St Ives, where Total Computing Systems have taken a new lease of a modern office suite;

-  a suite in an adjoining suite at Cabot House, Compass Point which has been let to Pepper Kitchens.

Commenting on behalf of Barford + Co, Felicity Paddick said, “There has been a flurry of lettings over the past couple of weeks and there are distinct signs that the office market is coming back to life after a difficult period. In addition to the transactions which have been completed, we have instructed solicitors on several other deals recently, and there is undoubtedly a greater level of activity in the market generally”.
Parties who have offices to let or sell should contact Felicity Paddick or Phil Halmshaw at Barford + Co on 01480 213811.
